The UX of following an ActivityPub account on a different server seems harder than it should (and coulld) be. I’ve seen different patterns, from “copy this username and pasted it in your client” to “enter your username and I’ll redirect you to an appropriate page”…
It seems to be that a dedicated URI scheme could be used, e.g. folllow://p20n@w3c.social, that any AP client (either native or web-based) could register to handle. Has anyone proposed/tried something like this? (I’d be surprise if it was not the case…)
