Option to Opt Out
Users can select a chronological feed or other simplified view if they do not wish to engage with algorithmic recommendations.
I would make number 8 stronger, by requiring opt-in for any algorithmic recommendations. If you want the explanation, better have it up-front, before you start using the thing. It thwarts the dopamine craze of instant gratification and forces people to take the time to learn about the technique used, as if it actually mattered – and it does, otherwise we would not have this discussion --, making them smarter about their understanding of technicality, which is the first step in changing online habits and the general outlook on digital technologies.
Actually I would be for a legally bonding point 8 with high stakes for offenders.
