Another (possibly weird) question. Is there a way to get at least the like counter for a post from another server? Mastodon doesn’t seem to bother with that and so only shows the counters for local posts. For federated posts, it only shows likes (both the counter and the accounts that liked) by the users on your instance. There’s also no likes collection in Note or, really, anywhere. Strangely, the ActivityStreams schema does have likes, shares and even liked all of @id type. Is this just that no one seems to be using that yet?

ActivityPub also says there may be a likes collection. Mastodon doesn’t implement it; I don’t know whether anything else does.
I know at least PeerTube implements it.
Pleroma did implement the likes collection at one point, but we dropped it for some reason.
