Bonfire pushed a big release last week, and I'm excited to try out all the new shiny things on my test instance.
Post migration and Quote Posts among them.
Request came through to allow the quote, but Mastodon hasn't released it yet....
@box464 you mean doesn't release the request/accept/decline flow?

1) Quoted post from Mastodon.
2) Approved post in Bonfire.
3) Mastodon doesn't recognize acceptance
Does Phanpy have functionality to approve/deny post quotes yet?
Hmmm...strange this is that this group (general@activitypub.space) and a newsmast channel both boosted the quote post prior to me approving it. And Mastodon is still showing it as pending approval from my Bonfire account, tho I did approve it. Might be in a queue...still the group accounts shouldn't be able to boost the quote post if it's not approved?

Interaction controls are for the quoted post, not for the quote post itself.

@box464 if approved on Bonfire's side, Mastodon should recognize it… probably takes time? 🙈
There's no approve/deny UI/flow/API on Mastodon's side. I've asked & got this response "we included support for it in case someday another software wants it" and "(but we think it's not a good idea, as it means your quote can be displayed as pending for a long time, which is not ideal in a timeline-based network)" — which I think make sense. By the time it's approved, it's probably too old to be read
