Hi all, is there a standard for getting information about a server?
e.g. which types the server support, auth endpoints, etc. …

Servers do not exist in the ActivityPub spec. Instead, Actors are the basic unit of the ActivityPub specification. Some actors may share a domain, but this implies nothing about them sharing the same software implementation.

(For auth specifically, the endpoints field on the Actor object contains the relevant OAuth endpoints for logging in as that Actor.)

This is incorrect. Having recently made an updated version of the spec, in the 2018 version servers - aka “ActivityPub conformant Federated Server” - are the main unit around which other entities, like Actors, are arranged. Servers appear numerous times in the spec.
