This absolutely nails the issues facing the fediverse, especially as we go more mainstream and have to deal with regulations with legal requirements around the globe, especially in countries and states where we have people accessing our services from.

just to be clear, these posts appear under the fediversity category because that category follows my mastodon account. and every boost i make with my mastodon account now gets replicated here as a new topic. not a really great system tbh

I agree. Boosts of replies should appear as replies (and not be duplicated), or should be ignored altogether. This is probably on @angus’ task list…
