The YunoHost community packagers understand that a big part of making federation work is making it possible for more people to get involved in self-hosting their own instances. And that’s why they’re busy with making a lot of the federated applications you already know and use available for self-hosting on YunoHost!

Just want to put in a kind word for the YunoHost team. They were really helpful in getting Ecko and Acropolis packages working. Their tools for things like checking packages and CI are really good. They make self-hosting these apps and others like GitLab about as easy as can be while not adding any layers of software bloat that I can see.

Do any of you know a way to set up yunohost locally on a machine as a way to test federation (Activity pub S2S and Matrix S2S) between application and for local yunohost package development,

Currently at Fedicamp : @hagengraf with a very nice session about yunohost :slight_smile:
