Slide 8 - What is ActivityPub?
open standard → open and extensible standard (extend with Linked Data vocabularies for your domain)
built on top of other open standards (ActivityStreams, Linked Data)
Consider addressing Linked Data: both human + machine readable, origin in Semantic Web, Tim Berners-Lee, used by Google Search (SEO), schema.org, Wikidata (all wikipedia knowledge is available as linked data), many EU/EC ISA² solutions (!).
Background: Linked Data is instrumental to the - thus far largely untapped - huge potential of ActivityPub… to extend to any arbitrary application / business domain and build interoperable software on top of it.
